Apartment Furniture Delivery: Prepare an Access-Review Record

Create a package-by-package handoff sheet for your building contact and delivery team: dimensions, route restrictions, orientation questions and pending confirmations.

Before you book: prepare a route record, not a fit guarantee

A doorway width alone cannot confirm furniture access. For an apartment move, prepare a record of the route from the building entrance to the room, the packages you expect to receive, and the building rules that affect handling. Share that record with the relevant building contact and delivery team before finalizing arrangements. It supports a case-by-case review; it is not a promise that a package will pass.

This guide helps you produce one practical handoff sheet. It does not calculate a minimum doorway width, approve a lifting method or replace a delivery team's assessment. Do not force a package through a tight opening or assume that removing packaging, tilting a box or taking furniture apart is permitted.

1. Record the exact product and the package information source

Start your sheet with the product or configuration, the date you checked its information, and the product-page link. Keep assembled furniture dimensions separate from package dimensions: the former help you plan the room, while the latter are the starting point for reviewing the delivery route.

For reference, the public ModuSofa product page checked on 10 October 2026 lists Box 1 as 115 × 50 × 20 cm and Box 2 as 100 × 70 × 35 cm. These are published nominal package dimensions, not independently measured production cartons. Confirm the current dimensions for the exact configuration and shipment before relying on them. Other products and configurations may use different packages.

Review the current ModuSofa packaging information

Copy all three dimensions into your sheet without assuming which side must face up or forward. Ask the team to confirm permitted carrying orientation and any handling restrictions. Do not treat the smallest box dimension as the only doorway measurement that matters. Package protection, grip space and the people or equipment handling it also need room; the necessary allowance must be checked for the actual route.

2. Describe the whole route, including the spaces between openings

Walk the intended route without moving furniture. Name each segment in order: unloading point, building entrance, lobby, elevator or stairs, corridor, apartment door and final room. Record fixed obstacles and access restrictions. Keep your record for the relevant parties rather than publishing identifying photographs of your home.

For each doorway, record the clear opening at the narrowest point with the door in its usable position, including height. Note projecting handles, closers, thresholds and anything that cannot safely be moved. Describe the space on both sides of the opening; a package may need positioning space before it can enter.

For an elevator, record its door opening separately from the cabin's internal space. Note rails or other fixed projections and the usable loading position. A long cabin dimension or diagonal on its own does not establish a safe path through the elevator door. Confirm whether the building requires a service elevator or a reservation.

For a corner, describe both approach corridors and the space where the turn occurs. Note the ceiling, fixed projections and doors close to the turn. A box must be reviewed through the changing positions of the whole movement, not just at one straight section. If stairs are involved, include the landings and overhead restrictions in the record; leave lifting and safe handling decisions to the appropriate team.

3. Add building rules before choosing a delivery slot

Ask your building contact which entrance and route are allowed, whether an elevator booking is needed, and what delivery hours or protection requirements apply. Confirm where unloading can occur and whether the carrier's service includes the steps you need. Availability of a building slot is not confirmation of product availability or arrival timing.

Keep rules and permissions separate from your measurements. A physically plausible route can still be unavailable under building rules, and an approved delivery slot does not prove that every carton can be moved along it. Record unanswered questions instead of filling them with assumptions.

4. Copy this access-review handoff sheet

Product or configuration: ____ | Product-page link and date checked: ____

Packages: box identifiers and all three current dimensions: ____ | Source and outstanding specification questions: ____

Permitted package orientation and handling restrictions, confirmed by the relevant team: ____ | Required handling allowance: ____

Route segments in order: ____ | Each door's clear opening, door position and fixed projections: ____

Elevator door, usable cabin space and restrictions, or stairs and landings: ____

Corner approach, turning area and overhead restrictions: ____ | Supporting route sketch or photographs shared privately where appropriate: ____

Building entrance, unloading rules, delivery hours and reservation requirements: ____

Questions requiring team review: ____ | Person or team responsible for each confirmation and date: ____

Review outcome: pending / further information needed / route reviewed for the stated configuration and handling plan. Record the actual reviewer and any conditions. Do not prefill the outcome as approved.

5. Keep uncertain routes pending; ask a specific question

If dimensions, orientation, handling allowance or a turning space remain unclear, keep the access review pending and ask which information the team needs next. Do not turn a favourable comparison of two numbers into permission to tilt, unpack, lift or force a carton through. A review for one package does not cover every item in a room kit.

If you are planning a whole room, use the builder to identify your configuration and review the packaging information for each selected item separately. This handoff sheet is an access-planning aid, not confirmation that all pictured options are included or available.

Review your room configuration

Use the existing FAQ for general assembly and delivery questions. Ask separately about destination eligibility, the itemized quote and timing; access measurements do not establish any of those terms.

Online checkout remains closed. You can use the site's contact page to ask about the selected product or configuration and destination. Include the outstanding access-review questions, but avoid sending personal route photographs unless an appropriate recipient and channel have been confirmed. This guide does not confirm that a message has been submitted or received.
